Performing factory data reset HTC EVO 3D via Settings menu and external keys:

Performing a factory data reset ( master reset or hard reset ) HTC EVO 3D from settings


  1. Press Menu from home Lcd
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Storage
  4. Tap Factory data reset
  5. Tap Reset phone
  6. Tap Erase everything.

Performing a factory reset using external keys


  1. Remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, then reinsert the battery.
  2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the
  3. POWER button.
  4. Wait for the Lcd with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
  5. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.

Performing Soft reset

If HTC EVO 3D is running slower than normal, an application is not performing properly, or HTC EVO 3D becomes unresponsive, try restarting HTC EVO 3D and see if that helps solve the problem.
  1. If the display is off, press the POWER button to turn it back on.
  2. Unlock the display.
  3. Press and hold the POWER button, and then tap Restart.
  4. When asked to confirm, tap Restart.

Warning!All data will be erased from device memory, including system and application data, settings and downloaded applications. Back up your important data.  The device will restore to factory settings.

If your phone hangs or does not responding, Press and hold power key about 10 seconds.  It will rebooting automatically.  Or remove and re insert the battery and SIM Card.
